If you, like me, are building your business online and using Facebook as your social media platform of choice, you probably want prospects and clients to see your content and to receive comments and questions about what you do. Basically, you want to establish rapport with your audience.
But…. to be honest, I get tired of getting links as comments to my posts and sales pitches as conversation initiators. Do you feel the same? Do you like to receive them?
The way to chase away prospects and clients is by shoving in their face your sales pitch and your link at the first chance you get. Is this what you do?
If it is I actually understand. Most likely is not even your fault, you were taught that way or because most people do it you do it as well. But think about it.
You don’t know this person and they don’t know you, so how do you know you actually have anything to offer them? Why would they listen to you?
Think about how you react if you keep getting sales pitches all the time. You will probably discard them, block the person and will never buy from them, so avoid the trouble and stop it from happening to you.

- Don’t send out links and sales pitch without being asked to
- Ask questions to get to know your prospect/client and establish trust
- Offer solutions to the problems/needs
- Only after request send links or sales pitches
- Be brave and if you think there is no interest, back off, don’t break the trust you’ve established
