Talking to people is a skill necessary to any business person. We need to talk to customers, partners other business people and we want to cause a good impression. Lots of people feel uncomfortable and think they are not good communicators. For them I have made this video about how to easily become a great communicator.
Easily Become a Great Communicator
In order to become a great communicator, and I'm not talking about public speaking here but on one on one or small groups, you need to change a couple of habits and learn well what you need to say.
It might come as a shock but the top skill to become a great communicator is….. to listen and keep quiet.
Next you need to ask questions about the other person you are talking to. Remember people love to talk about themselves and if you let them and pay attention to what they say you will impress them.
This skill is very important when dealing with customers and prospects because you want to know what they need so you can provide solutions to them.
You also need to know what you are talking about, specially presenting your business to others. You don't need to know every single detail about your products or opportunity if you are part of the network marketing industry, but you need to know enough. What you don't know you can always find out from your team member and upline.
And lastly, you need to be aware about misunderstandings, they happen in any communication and it is important not to take things personally or defensively. Just make sure the other person got it and if not explain better.
